Events scheduled throughout Covington this weekend include music, markets, movies

This weekend, a variety of events are scheduled to take place across Covington. The city will host activities including live music, food festivals, art shows, and family-friendly gatherings.

On Thursday, July 31, Revival Vintage Spirits & Bottle Shop will hold its first Cigars & Spirits Night at 6:30 p.m. Soul Pocket is set to perform at the Behringer-Crawford Museum at 7 p.m., while Braxton Brewing Company will offer Music Bingo on its rooftop starting at 7 p.m. At Covington Plaza, Cincinnati’s 21+ Outdoor Movie Series will feature “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” at 7 p.m. Galaxie will present Disco Bingo at 7:30 p.m. followed by Karaoke at 9 p.m., with $6 featured drinks available. Ripple Wine Bar is hosting a $2 Oyster Night until supplies run out.

Friday’s schedule includes free blood pressure checks from noon to 1 p.m. at Ruwe Family Pharmacy and a movie matinee showing Mel Brooks’ “Spaceballs” from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Kenton County Public Library’s Covington Branch. The library will also celebrate National Beer Day by allowing patrons to create one free stein in its makerspace between 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. Braxton Brewing Company’s Party on the Patio begins at 5 p.m., and Revival Vintage Spirits & Bottle Shop welcomes Celia Jo’s BBQ starting at 6 p.m. Daniel Bennett & The Dirty Shirleys are scheduled to perform at Juniper’s from 8 to 11 p.m.

Saturday offers the Covington Farmers Market on Washington Street from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., operating rain or shine. Braxton Brewing Company hosts Sunset Rooftop DJ Sessions with Galaxie beginning at 7 p.m., while Devou Park Band Shell presents “Blues’ Muse,” an event exploring blues, ragtime, and early jazz history, starting at 7:30 p.m. Juniper’s features The Chris Comer Trio from 8 to 11 p.m.

On Sunday, Bill Cappel Splash Pad invites pet owners for Pups at the Pool between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Additionally, “ALWAYS… PATSY CLINE” continues its run on stage through August 3rd at The Carnegie.
