Events planned across Covington for September weekend

Covington, Kentucky will host a range of events this weekend, offering residents and visitors various entertainment options across the city. The highlight is Covington’s Oktoberfest, which returns from September 12 to 14. This year, the festival expands beyond Goebel Park onto 6th Street and Main Street. Organizers have provided a website with a full map and schedule for attendees.

On Thursday, September 11, activities include an outdoor movie screening of “The Wolf of Wall Street” at Covington Plaza as part of the NightLight 513 Outdoor Movie Series at 7 p.m., with tickets available online. Other Thursday events feature Music Bingo on The Rooftop at Braxton Brewing Company at 7 p.m., and both Disco Bingo (7:30 p.m.) and Karaoke (9 p.m.) with $6 featured drinks at Galaxie.

Friday’s schedule includes Party on the Patio at Braxton Brewing Company starting at 5 p.m., Bengal Jim & Friends Official Pre-Tailgate at Revival Vintage Spirits & Bottle Shop from 6 to 9 p.m., Landscape Paint Along at Artmarkit from 7 to 9 p.m., and a performance by The Hanky Panks at Molly Malone’s beginning at 10 p.m.

Saturday brings the Covington Farmers Market on Washington St. from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine. Covington Parks & Recreation will lead a guided walking tour exploring Latonia’s history, starting at 10 a.m. A sewing machine class hosted by Artmarkit in partnership with In Stitches by Becky Scott runs from 2 to 5 p.m., requiring advance sign-up online. Additional Saturday events include Twilight in Wonderland at Baker Hunt Art & Cultural Center from 6 to 9 p.m.; Brad Hatfield & the BOHH House Band performing at Band of Helping Hands beginning at 6 p.m.; Sunset Rooftop DJ Sessions with Galaxie held at Braxton Brewing Company starting at 7 p.m.; and The Grey Dogs performing live music late night at Molly Malone’s.

According to organizers, “This isn’t a full list of everything going on in The Cov — just a sampling of the many ways to get out, explore, and support local.”
