Cincinnati, OH – Elias George Mabjish, 74, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, Kentucky. Born in Nazareth, he was the son of the late George and Lily Mabjish.

Elias immigrated to the United States in 1974, focusing on education and family. Overcoming early language barriers, he excelled academically, earning degrees from St. Joseph Seminary, Xavier University, and Walden University. His career as a Certified Public Accountant and professor at the University of Cincinnati showcased his dedication and passion for sharing knowledge.

Known for his zest for life, Elias enjoyed travel, fine cuisine, and European fashion. Embracing his heritage, he was a devoted member of St. Anthony of Padua Maronite Catholic Church in Cincinnati. Elias leaves behind a legacy of love and generosity, survived by his companion, children, grandchildren, and sisters.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Erlanger, Kentucky, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony of Padua Maronite Catholic Church on Saturday. Elias will be interred at Highland Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky.
