Donald Gene Van Pelt, 88, passed away on July 1, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Known for his unwavering faith and generous spirit, Donald is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Betty Van Pelt, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and siblings. A gifted carpenter and servant at heart, Donald found joy in helping others and living out his faith through action. A visitation will be held at Linnemann Funeral Homes on July 10 and a service at Grayson Funeral Home on July 16, with burial at Union Cemetery in Charlestown, IN. In lieu of flowers, the family requests acts of kindness in Donald’s memory.
