Florence, Kentucky – Donald Franklin Taylor, a resident of Boone County, Kentucky, passed away on May 15, 2026, in Villa Hills at the age of 88. Born on November 18, 1937, Donald’s life was defined by his commitment, humor, and unwavering love for his family and community.
For 37 years, Donald worked diligently in the sanitation department of Bavarian Trucking, demonstrating a strong work ethic and dedication to the people of Northern Kentucky. His time there not only showcased his professional success but also highlighted his lively spirit, quick wit, and ability to bring laughter to those around him.
An enthusiast of horse racing, Donald also found joy in activities like riding his lawn mower, attending Cincinnati Reds games, and following race cars and hot rods. These passions were a lively reflection of his vibrant character and love for life.
But above all, Donald treasured his family, particularly his grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter Melissa (Jeremy) Glover; sons Donald A. (Amy) Taylor and Danny (Sarah Fields) Taylor; daughter Crystal (Rodney) Addison; and his dear companion Judy Garnett. His legacy extends through 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, embodying the deep love and connections he nurtured.
In addition to his immediate family, Donald is remembered by his brothers Kenneth (Judy) Taylor and Bill Taylor, and sisters Donna Sebastian and Janet Gibson, along with many other family members and friends who shared in his laughter and life.
Donald was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Mabel Taylor; father, Luther Charles Taylor; wife Annie Taylor; and four siblings.
A visitation to honor Donald’s life will be held on May 21, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northern Kentucky, located at 4350 Dixie Hwy, Erlanger, KY. This will be followed by a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. at Sand Run Baptist Church Cemetery in Hebron.
Donald Franklin Taylor will be fondly remembered for his humor, dedication, and love, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
