Florence – Dionna Hope Wilson, aged 84, a resident of StoryPoint in Walton, Kentucky, passed away on September 13, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. Dionna, originally from Burlington, Kentucky, attended Boone County High School and dedicated her life to various roles in service, family, and community involvement.
She was married, raised three children, and served as an EMT for the Elsmere Fire Department’s Life Squad and Ladies Auxiliary. With 30 years of experience as an Oral Surgeon’s Assistant, Dionna made a lasting impact on those she cared for. Her devotion to teaching children in the Sunday School Program at Burlington Baptist Church showcased her nurturing spirit and love for teaching.
Dionna found joy in bowling and was known for her competitive spirit. A passionate University of Kentucky basketball fan, her excitement for the game and team shone through her personality. She is survived by her husband, Carl Wilson, children Pamela Jane Francis, Sandra Marie Schreiber (Tim), and John Edwin Baxter, along with grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and many others who held a special place in her heart.
The funeral service is scheduled for Friday, September 19, 2025, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, with visitation preceding the service. Burial will take place at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
