Denise Colleen Hardy, 66, of Covington, peacefully passed away on August 5, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood. Born on September 8, 1958, in Covington to the late George and Wanda Sydnor Gegner, Denise dedicated many years to her career as a Certified Nurse Assistant. She was known for her compassion and care for others and was a devoted member of the Catholic Faith.

Survived by her husband, Steve, and children Doug Gegner, Richard Sipple, and Alicia Huffman, as well as sisters Pam Bridewell, Trina Gegner, brothers Matt and Greg Gegner, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many relatives and friends, Denise’s legacy of love and kindness will forever be cherished.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on August 12, 2025, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A, from 6-8 PM, where stories and memories of Denise can be shared. The burial will be held privately at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Floral Hills is honored to serve the Hardy family during this time.
