The Covington Neighborhood Collaborative (CNC) has announced the recipients of its 2025 Beautification Awards, recognizing residents and business owners for their efforts to improve the appearance of neighborhoods throughout Covington. The awards were presented at a ceremony on September 18 at the Behringer-Crawford Museum in Devou Park.
Bil Spicer, Chair of the CNC, commented on the event: “The event was a success and provided a fun way to celebrate residents from all over the city who do everything they can to make their neighborhoods—and Covington as a whole—a more attractive place to live and do business.”
Mayor Ron Washington attended the ceremony and spoke about community pride and volunteerism. He joined Spicer in presenting each honoree with an award banner and certificate.
A total of 20 individuals and businesses were recognized for achievements such as landscaping, façade improvements, and renovations across Covington’s neighborhoods. Honorees represented areas including Austinburg, Botany Hills, Central Business District, Eastside, Helentown, Historic Licking Riverside, Kenton Hills, Latonia, Levassor Park, Lewisburg, MainStrasse, Monte Casino, Mutter Gottes, Old Seminary Square, Peaselburg, South Covington, Wallace Woods, and Westside.
The CNC is composed of representatives from all 18 neighborhoods in Covington. The organization meets monthly at The Center for Great Neighborhoods and encourages public participation.
