This weekend, Covington will host a range of community events, offering residents and visitors opportunities to engage in local activities. The city’s calendar includes live music, food festivals, art shows, and other gatherings.
On Thursday, August 21, Crafts & Vines will hold a South African wine tasting event from 6 to 9 p.m., with two seatings available. Braxton Brewing Company is set to host Music Bingo on its rooftop at 7 p.m., while Juniper’s will offer Poetry & Light Bites Night from 7 to 9 p.m. Galaxie will feature Disco Bingo at 7:30 p.m. followed by Karaoke at 9 p.m., with $6 featured drinks. Ripple Wine Bar will have $2 oysters until sold out.
Friday’s schedule includes the start of the “She Gotta Lotta Junk In Her Trunk Sale” at Roost Latonia, running from Friday morning through Sunday evening. Braxton Brewing Company plans a Party on the Patio beginning at 5 p.m. Holy Cross High School will host its annual summer festival with games, raffles, auctions, and music. Juniper’s will present live music by The Gunnar Gidner Trio from 8 to 11 p.m.
Saturday offers the Covington Farmers Market on Washington Street from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., operating rain or shine. Braxton Brewing Company will also be the site for the Hit Seekers Card Show between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., featuring collectible cards and memorabilia alongside their regular offerings. Mainstrasse Village Food Tour runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., starting at Cedar Restaurant.
The Kenton County Public Library’s Covington Branch is hosting Mocktails and Movies in its gardens for adults aged eighteen and older from 6 to 9 p.m., screening Twilight Eclipse with pizza and popcorn provided. Additional Saturday events include Sunset Rooftop DJ Sessions with Galaxie at Braxton Brewing Company (7 p.m.), Angie Coyla Quartet performing at Juniper’s (8-11 p.m.), and an ‘80s/’90s night at Wunderbar starting at 9:30 p.m.
Sunday features another card show at The Fieldhouse from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., while Devou Park Bandshell presents Bandshell Beats with performances by Stick & Bindle and Moonshine Drive between 4 and 7 p.m.
GREASE continues its run at The Carnegie through August 24th, while Madison Theater hosts additional performances throughout the weekend.
