Cortlyn Schmidt, 79, of Alexandria, Kentucky, passed away on July 6, 2025. She had a successful career in accounting with various steel companies and was a devoted member of St. Thomas Church in Fort Thomas. Cortlyn had a passion for staying informed through news and reading and had a deep love for dogs, often rescuing and caring for animals through SAAP (Stray Animal Adoption Program). Survived by her loving husband, brothers, sister, and sister-in-law, Cortlyn will be remembered for her compassion and kindness. Visitation and a Memorial Mass will be held on July 23, 2025, at St. Thomas Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to SAAP. Online condolences may be offered at www.dmefuneral.com.
