Union, KY – Charles Daniel Terlau, 77, of Union, passed away on June 28, 2025. Born on June 2, 1948, in Covington, to the late John William Terlau and Virginia Toerner Terlau, he was a retired General Contractor and later retired from the Boone County Schools maintenance department. Dan was a member of Every Tribe Church in Covington.

Survived by his wife, Caren Jane Collins Terlau, whom he married on May 9, 1970, and his children Daniele Axtell (Steve) and Travis Terlau (Kelly). He is also survived by four grandchildren: Taylor Axtell, Madison Axtell-Stegman (Adam), Will Terlau, and Lainey Terlau. Siblings Jacque Kopser (Ray), John Terlau (Judy), Tony Terlau (Sherry), and Mary Maley (Tom) also mourn his passing. Preceded in death by sister Judy Wilson and brother-in-law Bill Wilson.

Dan enjoyed gardening, golfing, and fishing in his free time. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Christ’s Chapel Assembly of God, with Terry Crigger and Steve Axtell officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 4-6 PM, with a private burial at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
