Florence, KY – Charlene (Cornett) Ball, age 62, of Florence, Kentucky, passed away on June 14, 2025, at the University of Louisville Hospital. Born on May 5, 1963, Charlene was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and passionate public school educator who devoted over 30 years to serving students within Boone County Schools, Newport Independent Schools, and Covington Independent Schools.
Known for her deep love for her family, her unwavering dedication to public education, and her fervent belief in helping others, Charlene’s warm heart, keen humor, and enthusiastic advocacy for students made a lasting impact on all those fortunate to have crossed paths with her.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Reva Cornett, and is survived by her father, Charles Cornett of Florence, KY; her devoted husband, Danny Ball of Florence, KY; her son, Josh (Rachel) Ball of Hebron, KY; her daughter, Katie (Cameron) Kisselbaugh of Russellville, KY; and her adored grandson, Atticus Kisselbaugh.
A visitation to pay respects will be held from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 US 42, Florence, KY 41042. An uplifting Celebration of Life, led by Ben Brown, is set to commence at 5:00 PM, followed by a burial at Rice Cemetery in Union, KY. In keeping with Charlene’s generous spirit and commitment to others, memorial contributions may be directed to the Spina Bifida Association of Kentucky or St. Henry District High School Athletics – Boys Basketball Program.
For floral tributes, arrangements are being handled by Country Heart Florist in Alexandria, KY, in support of the family during this challenging time.
Charlene Ball will forever be remembered for her unwavering dedication to education, her deep love for her family, and the lasting impact she made on those around her. May she rest in peace.
