Cecil R. Brown, aged 81, of Erlanger, Kentucky, peacefully departed on December 18, 2025, at Villa Spring Nursing Home in Erlanger, KY. Born on January 5, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Robert Guinn Brown and Marian Brown.

Cecil dedicated over 30 years to law enforcement, serving multiple communities with integrity and dedication. He brought his commitment to service to various departments, including the Wilder Police Department and Northern Kentucky University, where he garnered respect from colleagues and the public.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Judy Ballard, son Matthew G. Brown, daughter Rebecca G. Martin, sister Lucille Mentor, grandchildren Sara Tye, Michael Martin, and Mitchell Martin, and great-grandchild Payton Tye.

A memorial visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, December 23, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a service at Linnemann Funeral Home in Burlington, KY. Burial will be at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, Kentucky. Memorial contributions can be made to the donor’s charity of choice.
