Walton, Kentucky – Carl “Dave” Rhodes, age 69, of Walton, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026. Born on April 24, 1957, in Covington, Kentucky, Carl was the loving son of James A. and Ruby Rhodes (née Adams).

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents and his sister, Debbie Stith.

Carl is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 37 years, Tonia Rhodes (née LaBare); his sons, Tyler T. Mayes and Ritchie Nathan Doyle (Katie); granddaughters Haley J. Doyle and Brooklyn A. Doyle; brothers Ralph (Chris) Rhodes, Bill Rhodes, and Don (Donna) Rhodes; and sister Shirley (Dave) Moreland. He was also cherished by many other family members and friends.

A man of many passions, Carl enjoyed hunting, fishing, coin collecting, and riding his motorcycle. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his family and especially his granddaughters.

In honor of Carl’s memory, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Newcomers Cremations – Funerals – Receptions, located at 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018.

Family, friends, and all who knew Carl are invited to share memories or leave heartfelt messages in the guestbook.

Carl will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
