Erlanger, KY – Bessie Deloriese Hayes, aged 82, of Erlanger, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025. Born on August 2, 1942, in Christiana, Tennessee, Bessie was the beloved daughter of the late Vallie and Ethel Davenport.
Known for her warm and inviting nature, Bessie had a special talent for hosting others and found great fulfillment in caring for her family. Her love for gardening shone through in the lush gardens she lovingly tended, a testament to the nurturing and dedication she bestowed upon those in her life.
Bessie was preceded in death by her husband of over 20 years, Paul Hayes; her son, Dean Olinger; daughter, Debbie Olinger; brother, Wayne Davenport; and sisters, Judy Heddin and Peggy Marsh.
She is fondly remembered by her son, Tony (Missy) Olinger; daughters, Deanna (Paul) McGlasson and Jennifer (Alan) Wiles; brother, Dwight Davenport; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will hold her memory close in their hearts.
Family and friends are invited to commemorate Bessie’s life on Friday, June 13, 2025. Visitation will commence at 10:00 A.M., followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 A.M. at Serenity Funeral Care, 40 West 6th Street, Covington, KY 41011.
