This weekend, Covington will host a range of events for residents and visitors. The main highlight is the Arcade Music Fest, taking place on Friday and Saturday in the Central Business District. The festival will feature nearly 80 artists performing on eight stages dedicated to different music genres. In addition to live music, attendees can expect immersive art installations and more than 30 local vendors. The event is centered around the historic Arcade Tunnel.
Other activities begin Thursday with several wine tastings at local venues such as Revival Vintage Bottle Shop, Crafts & Vines, and Ripple Wine Bar. Braxton Brewing Company will hold Music Bingo on its rooftop at 7 p.m., while Covington Plaza presents an outdoor screening of “School of Rock.” Live performances continue with Marty Connor Duo at Smoke Justis and The Hippie House at the Music@BCM concert series.
Friday’s events include Party on the Patio at Braxton Brewing Company starting at 5 p.m., Grady Burton playing at Smoke Justis from 8 to 11 p.m., a movie night featuring “Inside Out 2” at Devou Bandshell, and other late-night entertainment options.
On Saturday, the Covington Farmers Market operates from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Washington Street regardless of weather conditions. Northern Ky. Harvest will distribute 1,250 backpacks filled with school supplies during its Backpacks Bonanza event at St. Elizabeth Healthcare’s parking lot from 9 a.m. to noon—marking the project’s twenty-fifth year by giving away fifty backpacks for each year it has been held.
West Sixth Covington Haus hosts IPA Fest from morning until late evening, while Kenton County Public Library holds its End of Summer Fest at Pioneer Park in the afternoon. Additional musical performances are scheduled throughout various venues across Covington into Saturday night.
Sunday features Kevin Fox performing at Strasse Haus in the evening, along with other ongoing events listed by local theaters.
