Fort Mitchell, Kentucky – Anna Mae Bodurek, 96, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025. She was born on September 21, 1928, in Landville, West Virginia. Anna’s journey led her to Berea College and a lasting marriage to Felix Joseph Bodurek in 1948. After residing in West Virginia, the couple moved to Erlanger, Kentucky in 1964.

Anna devoted her professional life to education, teaching home economics at St. Henry High School before taking on a role at Dolly Madison Bakery in Elsmere. After her “retirement,” Anna remained active and moved to Fort Mitchell, where she continued her lifelong commitment to serving others. A prominent figure at Blessed Sacrament Parish, Anna participated in various outreach programs, including Christ Renews His Parish and serving as an RCIA sponsor.

Affectionately known as “Granny Boo,” Anna touched countless lives through her work in the school cafeteria, Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary, and her extensive knitting endeavors. Her passion for crafting hats for charity organizations, cancer centers, the Navajo Nation, the U.S. military, and local shelters reflected her unwavering dedication to helping those in need.

Remembered for her generosity, deep faith, and boundless love for her family, Anna is survived by her children: Cecile (Gary) Bockelman, Felix J. (Nancy) Bodurek Jr., and Daniel J. (Vicki) Bodurek; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, with two more on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Bodurek, a grandson, and a great-grandchild.

A private service will be held for Anna, and she will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, honoring a life filled with compassion, service, and love.
