Northern Kentucky University Norse women’s soccer announced on May 15 the signing of defender Addison Ramby for the 2026 season. Ramby is the fourth addition to NKU’s incoming class, joining Zellie Barnes, Camryn Koski, and Zsofia Jakab.

The announcement highlights Ramby’s skills as a defender and her experience at both high school and club levels. Head coach Bob Sheehan said, “Addison is a composed center back with an exceptional ability to read the game and break up attacks before they unfold. She brings a strong defensive presence, consistently showing excellent positioning and strong cover. On the ball, Addison is just as impactful—her distribution and technical skill allow her to effectively connect passes out of the back. We are thrilled to welcome Addison to our program.”

Ramby graduated from Springboro High School where she was named first team All-District, second team All-Conference, and defensive player of the year with the Panthers. She also played club soccer for Cincinnati United Premier.

Her family has a background in college athletics: her sister Morgan played goalkeeper at Auburn and North Georgia from 2018-21, while another sister Alexis played golf at West Liberty from 2020-2024.

Ramby’s personal interests include listening to Luke Bryan, watching Alex Morgan compete in sports, traveling (with Bora Bora as a bucket-list destination), playing pickleball, drawing, baking, and supporting the Pittsburgh Steelers. She lists steak as her favorite meal and Top Gun: Maverick as her favorite movie.

The addition of Ramby aims to strengthen NKU’s defense heading into future seasons.
